Diving in Oman

Al Sawadi Beach Resort is the closest starting point to the Daymaniyat Islands, the jewels in the crown of diving in Oman. Oman diving sites are among the best in the Middle East, with the distinction that the Oman diving sites are almost untouched by the very few divers who know about the fantastic underwater fauna and flora.

Hundreds of different fish species of varying colours and sizes inhabit the reefs at Daymaniyat Islands, a nature reserve paradise to be discovered, when diving in Oman.

PADI Dive Centre

Al Sawadi PADI Dive Centre is fitted with proper equipment store that holds brand new dive equipment for 20 divers and 15 snorkellers. The new class room holds space for 4 students and has a PADI library of the latest videos and DVD.

PADI Courses

We offer the following comprehensive PADI courses: Bubble Maker, Discover Scuba, Scuba Review, PADI Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Medical First Aid, Oxygen Provider and Dive Master. PADI Courses are operated and conducted by DivEco’s PADI licensed diving instructors.

Diving Sites

Al Sawadi Beach Resort is the closest starting point to the Daymaniyat Islands, the jewels in the crown of diving in Oman. These tiny islands lie about 15 km off the Batinah Coast and are Oman's only Marine National Nature Reserve. Diving here is spectacular. There are more rare fish who tend to be larger and more numerous than along mainland shores of the Gulf of Oman and coral reef development is more substantial.
Al Sawadi PADI dive centre offers diving excursions to about 17 distinctively different diving sites.

Snorkeling at Al Sawadi

The 8 Sawadi Isles are just a few hundred meters off-shore from the Al Sawadi Beach Resort.
For snorkellers who are not very experienced and who don't want to go as far as the Daymaniyat Islands, this is an ideal point to discover the underwater world.
Likewise, if the sea is too rough for diving at the Daymaniyat Islands, the Sawadi Isles are the substitute diving location.

Visit and explore our marine gallery with shark, turtle, coral, moray, eel, colourful fish and 17 different diving sites.
